this release is a mixture between minimal techno and sweet trancy melodies in the typical david keno style. the stupid, dirty mr. oizo bassline and some kind of rave atmosphere make this track very special and unique. less is not always more. it is time for melodies again... krikor (crack&speed, karat, ark rec) turned the track into a slow and dirty acid groovemonster in his own typical sound.
lerosa is dublin-based italian producer leopoldo rosa. the title track ruski combines a rough-cut sampled break with a loose, minimal arrangement of sub-bass and liquid synth pads. on the flip, russell and tempio are deep, moody house explorations, beautifully suspended by shifting sine wave pads and rhodes-like chords. born in rome, leo developed a love of electronic music through italian pop music of the 1980s, before discovering hip hop and acid house. he began djing in the early 90s and in 1995 moved to dublin where he got heavily into darker, deeper electronica and electro by the likes of autechre, drexciya and the extended detroit-inspired musical underworld. leo began producing his own music in 2000, concentrating initially on electro but broadening his range into unconventional house and techno styles. his debut lerosa release was the maike ep on dublins d1 recordings in 2005. as well as this real soon release, leo also has a forthcoming 12inch on enclave recordings (ireland)

chymera, originally from ireland and temporarily based in costa rica, has been making various forms of techno, electro and electronica since 2002. he has had several low key releases in ireland to local support. in june 2006 he remixed titaniums paloozah on austrian label titanium which marked his first international release. in september 2006 the descent ep was released on an affiliate label, supreme entertainment, which was subsequently charted by carl cox at number 1. xcela from that ep was also featured in funk d voids year end top 10. also in september, a side project under the alias i am an exit was released on esteemed uk house label urban torque. the numbling ep drew great acclaim and comparisons to mathew jonson, carl craig and new order. january 2007 saw the release of midnight at the aquarium on french label mezzotinto. this received major support from the likes of laurent garnier, chris udoh, james talk, spiritcatcher and many others. upcoming in early 2007 is an ep on barcelona label tishomingo and also one on josh winks label ovum. chymeras mix of deep and melodic techno is already beginning to cause a stir on dancefloors around the world and its only the start.
